The Artmuseo Token is the lifeblood of our ecosystem — a shared current flowing between artists, collectors, and curators. It was created not to chase markets, but to sustain a culture of creativity and participation.
What the Token Is
Inside Artmuseo, the token is a medium of creative utility. It recognizes the people who power the network — the node runners who keep it online, the artists who fill it with work, and the collectors who carry that work forward.
The token is built for use, not speculation. Artmuseo does not sell it, set or guarantee its price, run an exchange for it, or redeem it for currency. Any value it may carry once withdrawn on-chain comes from the open market and the people who choose to use it — it is never represented or promised by Artmuseo.
How Token Earnings Work
Contribution to the Artmuseo network — running an ArtNode, participating, creating — accrues platform tokens to your earnings balance. This balance is a record of what you have earned within Artmuseo. On its own, it holds no monetary value and cannot be spent or transferred.
To put earned tokens to use, a holder completes identity verification and withdraws their balance on-chain as Solana SPL tokens. Verification applies at this step because, once withdrawn, tokens can be used to acquire works and goods that carry real-world value — so Artmuseo applies KYC and AML protections at that boundary, not before. Until withdrawn, tokens remain an internal record.

There will only ever be eight billion Artmuseo Tokens. A portion supports the ArtNode network that powers our distributed infrastructure. Another flows to the artists and collectors who bring the platform to life. The remainder sustains ongoing development, collaborations, and the creative initiatives that extend Artmuseo's reach.
How Tokens Are Earned — Node Work
ArtNodes are the engines of the network: they serve images, manage uploads, verify artworks, and keep the platform fast and online. Running one earns platform tokens for the work it performs.
Distribution happens in epochs. Each epoch measures real contribution — uptime, storage reliability, bandwidth, and verified service to the art community. Nodes that consistently meet these thresholds earn more; nodes that fall short earn less. Performance bonuses are carved from that year's emission, never from additional supply, so the fixed schedule stays intact while the network rewards reliability.
Earning requires work. A license alone earns nothing — tokens accrue only for verified node performance over time.
Node Earning Mechanics (Beta)
Each ArtNode earns daily points by license type and verified uptime:
UPTIME ArtNode ArtNode Pro
• A standard ArtNode earns 1 point per day at full performance.
• An ArtNode Pro earns 4.5 points, reflecting its greater bandwidth and processing contribution.
Of the supply reserved for ArtNode Runners, ten percent is released during the network's inaugural year — about 876,712 tokens per day — and split among active nodes by their share of that day's points.
At the close of each day, all active nodes' points are totaled, and that day's emission is divided proportionally among them.
Example (100 active nodes):
• Total points = (70 × 1) + (30 × 4.5) = 205 points
• Tokens per point ≈ 876,712.33 ÷ 205 = 4,276.65
• Daily payout — ArtNode (1 pt): 4,276.65 · ArtNode Pro (4.5 pts): 19,244.90

Other Ways to Earn
Node work isn't the only way tokens are earned. The Artist & User Incentives allocation rewards artists, collectors, and curators for meaningful participation — contributing work, curating, and helping the community grow. These incentives are funded from that fixed allocation, never from new supply.
Where Tokens Can Be Used
Within Artmuseo, tokens move through the creative cycle rather than sitting idle. Once a holder has verified and withdrawn their tokens on-chain, they can put them to use across the ecosystem:
• Art. Artists may choose to accept tokens — in full or in part — as payment for their work. Each artist sets their own terms and their own pricing; Artmuseo does not set or guarantee any exchange rate.
• Goods. Tokens can be used in Artmuseo's goods marketplace for art materials, studio tools, and creative essentials.
• Access. Tokens can be redeemed for entry to exhibitions, workshops, and Artmuseo-sponsored gatherings.
As the platform grows, tokens will connect more of Artmuseo's creative tools — from Portfolio Builders to Curating, our reflective art experience. Every use strengthens the circular creative economy, where participation is recognized and rewarded within the platform.
Network Stewardship
Artmuseo maintains the token system as platform infrastructure. We set emission schedules, define epoch performance standards, and ensure the network rewards genuine contribution. These parameters are published transparently and applied consistently, so every participant can see how the system works.
